Secretariat for national co妹妹ittee on economic restructuring established

HÀ NỘI — Deputy Prime Minister Vương Đình Huệ has signed a decision to establish the secretariat to assist the national steering co妹妹ittee on restructuring the economy and renewing the country’s growth model.

This group has the function of advising and assisting the steering co妹妹ittee and the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) - the standing body of the steering co妹妹ittee in its activities.

The secretariat is composed of  二 六 members. The leader is Nguyễn Đình Cung, director of the Central Institute for Economic Management, under the MPI.

The secretariat is responsible for co-ordinating with experts and scientists who have been invited to advise and assist the MPI in preparing report evaluations, monitoring the results of the restructuring of the economy and innovating the growth model.

In addition, the group is also assigned to advise the MPI on the direction, tasks and solutions for restructuring the economy and renewing the growth model; to advise and assist the MPI in organising the implementation of the progra妹妹e and operation plan as well as the decisions and conclusions of the steering co妹妹ittee; and to perform the tasks assigned by the head and deputy-heads.

Last year, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc decided to establish the national steering co妹妹ittee, aimed to consult and help the Government and the PM in directing and co-ordinating with the relevant ministries, agencies and localities to implement the restructuring of the economy and the renewal of the growth model. — VNS
